Who is Healthdirect?

Healthdirect Video Call Service is funded by Australian Department of Health to provide a simple, safe and secure platform for patients to be able to chat to their GP face to face via video link.

What do I need to make a Video Call?

You do not need any special software, apps or logins. Video calls can be made from a smart phone, tablet or computer. Using one of these devices you simply click on the Button below to enter the Video Call Waiting Room.

How to start a Video Call at your appointment time

Click on the Button below 5 minutes prior to your appointment time. You will be asked to give your name and phone number and then you will be entered into the Video Call Waiting Room. Your GP will join the call when they become available for your appointment. There may be a delay, as with waiting in the surgery waiting room, if your GP is running behind.
