Video calls

Telehealth consultations can be conducted by either a video call or telephone call to those patients who have been seen in the clinic (face to face) in the last 12 months. A video call appointment can be made through Hotdoc or through our reception. Due to Medicare changes from the 1st July 2021, there will be some cases in which a video call will be the only alternative to a face-to-face appointment in the clinic.

Inverloch Healthcare has joined with Healthdirect Australia to provide our video call service.

Who is Healthdirect?

Healthdirect Video Call Service is funded by Australian Department of Health to provide a simple, safe and secure platform for patients to be able to chat to their GP face to face via video link.

How do I start my video call ?

  1. You do not need any special software, apps or logins. Video calls can be made from a smart phone, tablet or computer.

  2. Using one of these devices you simply click on the black Enter Our Video Consult Waiting Area button below about 5 mins before your appointment time to enter the Video Call Waiting Room.

  3. You will be asked to give your name and phone number and then you will be entered into the Video Call Waiting Room. Your GP will join the call when they become available for your appointment. There may be a delay, as with waiting in the surgery waiting room, if your GP is running behind.

  4. If you run in trouble or need further help please call the clinic on 5674 2700
